Gus is a 1929 Ford truck sitting alone in a field of tall grass on a hot summer day where it was parked after a long life as a working man's truck. As I worked on this I kept thinking about the life of this truck. What was it used for? Was it a service truck that delivered dry goods? Maybe it was a farm truck left where it stopped running one day on the farm. At one time this truck was the pride of the owner and it served him well and now it sits patiently waiting.
